I fancied doing something a little different for Easter this year as I seem to make cupcakes more than anything else these days and since one of my new years resolutions was to be a little more creative and experimental i decided a no bake tray bake was the perfect idea!
This recipe is not my own though sadly, it's from the BBC Good Food website and i have just adjusted it and made it a little more fun with lots of bright sprinkles.
You will need:
100g Butter
200g Milk Chocolate
3 Tablespoons Golden Syrup
250g Crushed Digestive Biscuits (yum!)
225g Maltesers
150-200g White or Milk chocolate for the topping
The Method:
- Melt the butter, golden syrup and chocolate together in a pan on a low heat.
- Crush up the biscuits in a bag with a rolling pin, great for stress too! Do the same with the Malteasers but don't crush them quite as much you don't want them to turn to dust.
- Pour in the liquids and mix together until combined. Then pour it all into a greased baking tin and pop in the fridge for AT LEAST an hour.
- Once the tray bake is set you can melt the chocolate topping, whack it on the top (not literally, of course) and spread across evenly. I used Malteaser bunnies and confetti sprinkles but obviously you can use whatever you desire!
- Back in the fridge for an hour and your done, now you can cut it into pieces and share it out. Alternatively, you can just eat it all yourself :) how tempting.
Yum, Enjoy!
Until next time xo

These look yummy! Maltesers are my favourite, so I may have to try these! Happy Easter :D X
