St Moriz | Advanced Pro Formula

I'm a big fan of St Moriz, ive used their medium (sometimes even dark) mousse for years, so I was pretty excited to see they had not only had a revamp on their packaging which looks fresh and clean, but they had added a new collection to their line.
The new Advanced Pro Formula Gel range consists of a skin primer which is an exfoliater, a tan enhancer which is not only good to prolong the tan after it's been applied, but handy to moisturise those dry patches (elbows/knees) and then of course there's the actual tanners. I was very lucky to be sent the medium gel but they also have a spray, mousse and a lotion. At first I thought the Velvet Finish Tanning Gel was a gradual tanner because it has no colour guide, now that might bother some people as you can't see which areas you've covered but it's also kind of handy since you can allow the tan to develop during the day and no one would know you're wearing it. You should still use a mitt to apply it though so you don't get orange palms!
It glides on pretty easy and feels really hydrating, i guess that's the difference between using a mousse and a gel. Like most tanners it develops over 4-6 hours and doesn't leave an unpleasant smell on the skin, it's slightly different to the original St Moriz scent.

I think this is great for people who don't like to look too bronzed, it gives your skin a beautiful glow with a hint of colour, its not quite the "I've been in the Caribbean for 2 weeks" shade but the lovely sun kissed look. I actually think it would be a nice base before you go on holiday and a tan you can wear all year round without looking like you've fake tanned. It's very natural. You do need to be more careful when your applying it, as I said it has no guide colour so you need to make sure you really spend some time buffing it in to the skin well.

You can pick up the new Velvet Finish Tanning Gel and moisturising tan enhancer from Boots where it's currently on offer at £4.99 (RRP £7.99) with £3 off! If you want an instant tan or just bit more colour in your legs (why don't they naturally tan as well?) try the Instant Body Tan Wash Off, I swear by it!

Until Next Time xo

  1. I wish I could use this but unfortunately St Moritz gives me a nasty allergic reaction due to my sensitive skin :( great post though and this seems like an absolute bargain :) x
