I've talked about Teapigs so many times on my blog that I would be surprised if you didn't know they are my favourite tea brand. Last month they released their new collection of "Feel Good Teas" which are packed full of great health benefits to give you either an energy boost, a little detox or help you fall asleep just that little bit easier.
The packaging is quite different to the standard Teapigs cardboard brown look, its nice and bright. I love the little curled up cat on the sleepy tea box (and tea temple!). Each of these new teas were designed to suit different times of the day, the Clean N Green for first thing in the morning when you need a little help to find your get up and go, the Up Beet when you get that afternoon slump and Snooze for just before bed when you want to feel all sleepy and cosy.
Clean N Green - A combination of green tea, coconut, dandelion, liquorice root, ginger and lemongrass. I must admit I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one, I LOVE coconut but I am not a huge fan of lemongrass. Its a very overpowering flavour, but I was really pleased to find although you can taste the lemongrass, the ginger and coconut balance it out and it has a clean fresh taste, almost a little sweet. A really good tea to start your day with. Also did you know that liquorice root and coconut helps curb those sweet cravings? Who knew.
Up Beet - Packed full of beetroot, ginger, carrot, green tea and hibiscus. This tastes kind of similar to the hibiscus tea from Starbucks (without the added sugar!) but with an earthy undertone. I'm aware "earthy undertone" probably isn't selling it to you haha, but if you like the taste of beetroot I think you'll like it! The hibiscus makes the tea taste more fruity and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger is great for digestion too!
Snooze - A lovely soothing mix of lavender, chamomile and apple. I often drink chamomile before bed as it helps me drift off quicker or at least makes me feel more relaxed. I was happy to see apple in the list of ingredients as it adds a really nice sweetness, chamomile can be quite boring on its own. The addition of lavender is great too since it can help if you suffer with insomnia like I do frequently. I normally use a pillow mist and diffuser to scent up my room but drinking it has got to be more
beneficial! I know its probably not for everyone though since its quite floral. Have a try if you need that extra bit of help with your sleep hygiene.
You can find the new range on the Teapigs website as a trio for £10 or alternatively purchase a box of 15 tea temples for £3.99. I noticed they also sell a pack of 2 tea temples for £1.30 which if your a little undecided on which flavour to try might be favourable.
What's your favourite tea?
Until Next Time xo
