I cant resist gorgeous smelling hand cream, can you? I'm also a sucker for cute packaging, I know your not meant to judge something by what it looks like, but we all do it and these new hand creams from Patisserie De Bain definitely caught my eye. You may remember I wrote a post on four other hand creams from their collection in 2015 (if you don't, you can catch it here), recently they released three new spring/summer scent's and I put them to the test.
I was really glad to see Rhubarb And Custard amongst the three, if you read my last post reviewing Flamingo Candles I said I was a huge fan of their rhubarb candle so this is my absolute perfect hand cream scent. Straight away the tart rhubarb comes through, not so much the custard but that's ok because it smells exactly like rhubarb crumble - which makes me super hungry. Every time I apply it I crave crumble!
Raspberry Roulade doesn't disappoint either. It's a really strong scent again which is quite unusual with hand creams, you can smell the sweet raspberry as soon as you open the lid and the aroma lasts on your hands for hours after. Blackcurrant and Apricot Coulis is quite understated compared to the other two, a nice subtle scent. Blackcurrant is an overpowering smell so I'm not surprised its the dominant scent but the hint of apricot is there.
All three contain shea butter which leaves your skin feeling packed full of moisture and greatly nourished. When you first apply them they do feel a tiny bit sticky but after probably not even a minute, they've sunk into your skin and feel fully absorbed with little to no residue. There the perfect size for your handbag or would look nice on your dressing table/night stand. They're only 50ml, (standard size really for a hand cream) but you only need a small amount to cover both hands evenly, so I think they will last well.
You can pick up all three from the Rose And Company online store for £3.99 each. I'm pretty sure that they will be available in Superdrug soon too along with the existing range. Patisserie De Bain are currently supporting the charity Rays Of Sunshine who work with children across the UK living with a serious or life-limiting condition, by making their wishes come true. 50p of every product sold will go the charity as part of their Make Life Sweet campaign.
Until Next Time xo
