It's finally Autumn! Everyone says Autumn time is their favourite but it's true, it really is one of the most beautiful seasons. The brown leaves are falling from the trees and are crisp under foot, there's a chill in the air (which after this humid summer we probably all could do with!) and as the dark nights draw in, its time to get cosy with candles and of course, countless mugs of hot chocolate.
Plus, it just wouldn't be a new season without your favourite Yankee Candles would it?
Yankee Candle have just released their new Harvest Nights collection which consists of four beautiful scents - Honey Clementine, Rhubarb Crumble, Ebony & Oak and lastly Autumn Night. I'm a big fan of sweet, fruity scents so I absolutely adore Rhubarb Crumble.
First up is Honey Clementine, it's quite sweet but also warm and soothing. You can definitely smell the zesty clementine but there's also a subtle undertone of honey, however when you're burning it, it doesn't smell too sickly sweet and overpowering. There's a cute little orange cupcake on the jar and every time I look at it I fancy cake, haha. If you like fruity scents I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you love this little jar of happiness.
Next is the heavenly Rhubarb Crumble, this smells completely edible and EXACTLY like a crumble that's just come out the oven. Its a somewhat fresh scent because of the rhubarb, quite zingy but then equally you can smell the brown sugar and vanilla. I've burnt a lot of this candle already and im going to need a big jar when it's gone! I think it's a pretty popular scent too as it's currently out of stock on Yankee Candle. I'm not even surprised, I would happily burn this all day, everyday.
If sweet fruity smells aren't your thing you might like one of these two fresh scents. I'll start with Ebony & Oak, which sadly is my least favourite. It is a very autumnal scent though! It has a very forest/woody feel to it with its pine and eucalyptus fragrance. I don't hate it by any means and I know a lot of people would love this but it's a little too strong for me. You know me, I love my sweet candles. However, I really like Autumn Nights. It reminds me of men's aftershave, very musky. It has notes of lavender so I think this would be the perfect candle to light in the evenings before bed to relax you. It's such a warm cosy, comforting scent, like a big hug in a jar!
