I don't sleep well and its the bane of my life. Insomnia is a nightmare and can be caused by so many different things from illness to hormones. There might not be a "cure" for insomnia but there's many things you can do to help, my favourite one being, lavender!
Feather & Down are a newly launched English based company, they are dedicated to making a specially blended sleep fragrance containing lavender and chamomile essential oils to help you get a great nights sleep. There's quite a few products on the market these days made especially to promote a good nights sleep so I can imagine its a hard market to break though, but Feather & Down needn't worry as I believe they have quite a unique smell and selling point. Lavender can be VERY overpowering and isn't to everyone's taste (or sense of smell, don't eat it!) but I've found this range to be subtle and not at all offensive, in fact I even prefer it over my trusty This Work pillow spray at the moment.
Lets talk about the packaging because we all know that's important to my "don't judge a book by its cover" mind! I think it looks a lot more expensive than it is (more on that later) and just looking at it weirdly has a calming effect on me. I was very lucky to be sent four items from the collection to try and I can imagine these are probably going to be their most popular.
Pillow Spray £7 - Pillow sprays are my favourite, there is nothing nicer than spritzing this all over fresh bedding before you close your eyes and wind down. It's also over half the price of This Works.
All Purpose Sleep Balm £7 - Balms are always useful if you share a bed with someone who doesn't want the room to smell like a lavender field! Massage into your pulse points (wrist, temples and neck) as apparently it lasts longer due to the beat of your heart. I also pop a bit under my nose too so I can smell it a little more intensely.
Melting Shower Cream £6 - This smell's amazing. Perfect to use before bed if you shower at night to calm your mind, its a silky smooth consistency and lathers really well! I actually use mine in the morning and find it makes me feel a little more relaxed if I'm already stressed - which I normally am.
Soothing Body Oil £8 - A lovely rich oil that sinks in quite quickly actually and doesn't leave you feeling like a greasy chip. The smell really lasts on your skin and works perfectly in conjunction with the other products in the range.
Why not use all four together for the ultimate relaxation experience? Feather & Down also do body butter, bath salts, candles and more! The gift sets would make perfect Christmas presents too (did I really just mention the C word in September?) The whole collection is so affordable.
You can find the full range at Boots where it is quite often on 3 for 2 or alternatively, the Feather & Down Sleep website.
Until Next Time xo

Omg I saw this range in boots recently and had to force myself not to spend more money... it looks absolutely beautiful (I'm a sucker for packaging too). I've always wanted to try a pillow spray, it just sounds pretty damn cool if I must say haha, and the balm would be great. I also suffer with insomnia, I've always had such a hard time sleeping, oh how I am praying I receive a gift set of these products for Christmas!!!!!! Xxxx

I've found I'm having real trouble sleeping lately and these sound like they could be the answer to all my problems. The balm sounds incredible (even better that I'll get staff discount on the already fab price). I'm going to hunt for this next time I'm at work xx
