Flamingo Candles | New In

I'm excited to be back with a what's new from Flamingo Candle HQ post! I swear they are absolutely killing it as a brand and growing bigger by the month. I am a major candle addict and I cannot tell you how excited I get when they release new scents and gorgeous, inventive jars to match. They have to be the most creative candle brand out there too with all their different designs.

I was so surprised to discover FOUR candles had arrived in the post, how bloody generous it that? When I opened the box I was thrilled to find they are all candles that I absolutely love, especially the scents! If you haven't read any of my previous posts about Flamingo Candles then i'll give you a little bit of background info on them (also, where have you been??)

Flamingo Candles are a British company that is based in South Wales and has been around since 2013. They use only natural soy wax and cotton wicks, every candle is also hand poured by the Flamingo team! Their original jars have the trademark Florrie the Flamingo on but more recently they have added a lot of  new, fun designs too. You can find them at many trade shows and fairs, to keep up to date with where they are going next follow them on their Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

 So now onto the best bit, what do they smell like?

Mermaid Dreams Pink/Yellow Ombre - This is my favourite, I really like the ombre effect but what mostly sold it to me is that it's banana and strawberry scented. I absolutely adore banana scents but nowhere really sells banana candles sadly. I genuinely want to eat it, it smells that good. Also the lid has a little mermaid on it, how cute! Its super sweet which is personally what I look for in a candle, if you like fresher scents then maybe the Mermaid Crush one might be better suited, as its watermelon scented.

Lychee and Peony Dollface - How charming is this one? I showed my mum the new collection and she instantly fell in love with this one, don't worry I of course gave it to her! She's Flamingo Candles number one fan. I love the scent, I've had it in wax melt form before from the Melt Crowd. It's quite a subtle floral scent but has a hint of fruitiness.

Blueberry Cheesecake - Such a dreamy scent, they really have hit the right notes with this one. On first sniff you can smell the fruity blueberries but there's also a nice sweet cakey smell too. I think it smells exactly like a blueberry muffin and it really makes me want to eat one!

Cola Lollipop - Is this not the cutest jar? I'm actually drawn to things with hearts on, I've no idea why but if I see a dress or blouse with hearts on I instantly need it! The scent smells exactly like fizzy cola bottles, its like they've just melted the sweets straight into the jar. It actually makes me crave a glass of ice cold coke with lemon and I don't even drink fizzy drinks really. I just love the acrylic lollipop, they actually do a strawberry one too, plus little decorated tins.

I've noticed recently that the Jars are a lot stronger in scent, which is great as I feel you get a lot more value for money. You can literally smell them in every room of your house, sometimes for even days after they've been lit. The square jars burn for up to 50 hours and the round jars around 40-50 hours. I am so happy to see Florrie is still making an appearance on the classic jars too, I definitely have a soft spot for the original designs. I bought my first melts back in 2014 and every year they just get better and better.
